strawberries, sour cream, brown sugar
I’m so glad strawberries are finally in season, but the early crops here in MA are just not so sweet yet. Juicy, dye-your-fingers red, and smelling like earth, yes. But California sweet, no. So a little embellishment is nice.
Strawberries, dollop of sour cream, dump of brown sugar. Mix.
It looks less appetizing once melded, but you taste each element and the brown sugar melts into the sour cream and coats everything. Mmmmm.

Oh my word, the deliciousness! I indulged in this treat many times last year when we were on furlough, only I made it with white sugar instead of brown sugar. I never even thought to use brown sugar! Oh, what I wouldn’t give for some strawberries right now!!!

Sorry to taunt you! It’s so hard thinking about fruit you can’t have. : (

Oh, no worries! I see food ALL the time that we can’t get here. I read a lot of food blogs 🙂 But it makes me appreciate it more when I CAN get it!
PS I had tried to comment on your site a few times and it never went through. Finally I logged out on WordPress and commented as a guest, and it worked! I have no idea what the WordPress issues are (since that is what I use, too) but with your site and a few others, I have to log out and then comment as a guest.
